My Top 5 Favorite WordPress Plugins

My Top 5 Favorite WordPress Plugins

Here at KreativElement, we work with WordPress everyday. It’s good for SEO, easily learned, and super flexible, but sometimes you can’t create what you’d like to in WordPress without knowing several types of code — HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, etc.

That’s where plugins step in.

Whether it’s a WordPress-run informational website, online store, or a blog, plugins can simplify the work process, create efficiency, and enhance the site’s appearance. The following five are my personal favorite plugins.

Whether it’s a WordPress-run informational website, online store, or a blog, plugins can simplify the work process, create efficiency, and enhance the site’s appearance. The following five are my personal favorite plugins.

Contact Form 7 — Cost: Free!

This contact form is simple and clean. Fields can be added for URLs, file uploads, and everything in between, just copy and paste the shortcode to wherever the form should show up. Multiple forms can be created if need be!

Jetpack — Cost: Free!

Jetpack, a plugin created by WordPress, was originally only for wordpress.com, but now it’s available to all WordPress users! It has a crazy amount of features. Custom css, extra sidebar widgets, galleries, blog subscriptions, and spelling and grammar check, just to name a few.

Ultimate Social Media and Share Icons — Cost: Free!

This social media plugin comes with several design options, including animation. They can be displayed in a sidebar, below blog posts, or even in a pop up. There are other customization options too. I believe that blogs could definitely benefit from this particular plugin!

LayerSlider 5 — Cost: $17

This slider plugin has an insane amount of customization available. Almost an entire website could be built out of this plugin! It’s responsive (it changes as the screen size will), which makes it mobile-friendly, and works across all major browsers (yes, that includes Internet Explorer). This plugin is also SEO friendly, making it an excellent choice for all websites!

Visual Composer — Cost: $28

This plugin is ideal for those who don’t know code, and still need their website to be professional. Visual Composer, a drag-and-drop page builder, creates beautiful (and responsive!) website pages with any theme. There are content blocks already made. If there’s no time to learn code, or you’re looking to save time, this plugin is worth the investment!
