5 Quick & Dirty WooCommerce Tips

Below are a quick and dirty 5 tips for products and payment gateways to make your WooCommerce shopping experience better for your customers!

Products Tips

If your site would lend itself to a border around the description of a product you can quickly and easily add a board by doing the following:

Modify the border size (1px, 2px, etc), style (solid, dotted, dashed) and color (#xxxxxx) to suit your needs in custom.css:

.woocommerce .woocommerce-tabs {border: 1px solid #e6e6e6}

Want to be able to create discounts when customers order in bulk?  This is something that several clients would love to do, and sometimes depending on the size of your store or company it is difficult to have this type of feature set. With the WooCommerce Bulk Discount plugin, though, it is made easy. You can download the plugin at: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-bulk-discount/

Payment Gateway Tips

Lets face it, it isn’t really an e-commerce site or store if you can’t check out. Here are a couple of our favorite tips/tricks to make it easier.

Paypal Express Checkout – We can all set up Paypal to be the checkout gateway, but adding a little more function to it with express checkout allows your customer to buy it faster, which helps to reduce the pre-buying remorse after adding to cart. This way you can check out without even leaving the product page.  The little plugin we love for this can be found at: https://wordpress.org/plugins/paypal-for-woocommerce/

Some people just love Amazon – so why not let them just checkout with them too? You can give your customer the added ease of making a payment through their Amazon account with this free payment gateway which is embedded directly into your existing WooCommerce site. All the buyer interactions with Amazon Payments Advanced take place in the embedded widgets so the buyer never leaves your site!  Download and install this plugin from this link: https://www.woothemes.com/products/pay-with-amazon/

Also don’t forget to check out https://yithemes.com/. They have a plethora of WooCommerce plugins that will save you hundreds vs buying them alone.
